Women Deserve to Feel Seen
For a majority of my life, I struggled to see myself—I avoided being in front of the camera, I hated my reflection, and felt disconnected from who I was.
It wasn’t until I picked up a camera and started looking through my own lens that I truly saw myself.
Photography became more than an art form; it became a way to understand identity, beauty, and resilience.
Living 21 years of my life as a woman, I have a unique perspective as a trans man, on the strength, struggles, and beauty of women. I know what it’s like to feel unseen, to battle self-doubt, and to fight for space in a world that often tries to define you.
That’s why I’m so passionate about documenting women—not just their faces, but their stories, their power, their beauty, their strength.
So for this project with Lifestance Health I asked some of the women I’ve had the honor of photographing to share their favorite images of themselves that I’ve taken and a few words on what mental health means to them or advice for others.
Every woman deserves to be seen, to take up space, and to know that her story matters.
Prioritizing women’s mental health is more important than ever, especially in a world where women’s rights are constantly under attack. The weight of fighting for bodily autonomy, safety, and equality is exhausting, and too often, women are expected to carry it all without breaking. But you don’t have to do it alone.
Your mental health matters.
To every woman reading this: You are enough. You are worthy. And your story deserves to be captured.
